Jacob Bryce Linn (h7766) was born on 27 August 1908. Jake married Helen Marguerite Young, a high school classmate, on 17 August 1932. Jake and Helen operated a grade "A" dairy farm near Hancock until failing health forced Jake to take a job as field man for the Milk Producers Association. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska and Helen worked in the business office of Nebraska Methodist Hospital, where she was supervisor of the insurance division. Jake was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Shrine, and Order of the Eastern Star. They retired to Harlan, Iowa. Jake died on 30 March 1988. Helen and Jake had two children, Paul Bryce Linn and Ann Elizabeth Linn.
