The Clan Linn in the Twentieth Century Entry[edit]
Joseph Dwight Linn was born 9 August 1935 on the family farm near Pierson, Iowa. Joe graduated from Iowa State College with degrees in farm operation and agriculture. He farmed in the Little Sioux River bottom near Washta, Iowa on land first purchased by his grandfather, Lloyd Bower, before the turn of the century. He proved that excellent watermelons may be grown in western Iowa, if properly managed. Joe married Wanda Joy Page on 14 July 1963. Wanda graduated from Iowa State College with a B.S. degree in applied art. Her pencil drawings may be found on many pages of this book.[1]
