Zalman (John) Minkus was five years old when he came to America. A letter carrier for the Post Office for 43 years, he and his wife Lena (Kaplowitz) had 3 children: Albert, Rochelle, and Marilyn.[7]
In 1944 (when John registered for the WWII draft), he lived at 623 S. Kildare Ave. in Chicago.
