According to daughter Peggy Jeanette Schneider, "My dad was William Antone Schneider, my paternal grandfather was John E. Schneider and was born in Cologne, Germany . Came to the US when he was about 16 and as far as I know they came thru Ellis Island."[9]

    • Mother: Jenny Schneider, born c. 1870 in Alabama, father born in Alabama, mother born in Tennessee
    • Children: Katie (c. 1905), William (c. 1907), John Jr. (c. 1910), Ellen (c. 1912). All born in Texas
  • Also in the 1920 Federal Census (2-3 weeks later on Feb 2, 1920) the same father and children, but a wife/mother named Etta, who is from Germany are living in a different township in Oklahoma
