The 1790 Maryland Census contains two individuals who appear to be John's children<ref>ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/md/1790/index-c.txt</ref>:

  • Joshua Chilcoat (Baltimore County household consisting of one male (himself) and 2 females)
  • James Chilcote (Frederick County household consisting of one male (himself) and 1 female)

Neither household is listed as having any slaves.
