• Jan's first husband was born James Daily. According to Jan, James' family lived in Utica, NY; his father was Patrick; and James had a sister, Mary, and a brother, John. However, James used the name "Joseph Moda," and may have tried to conceal his birth name. These records show a "Joseph Moda" from the correct county in New York, and, according to Jan, the "correct" birthday; but it's unclear whether these records refer to the actual first husband of Jan, or are simple the identity that he assumed:
