He was born December 27, 1925 in Kilgore, Texas to Harvey and Mildred Bamberg Bass. He was a self-employed auto parts dealer, and during World War II he served our country from March 10, 1944 to May 5, 1946 in the South Pacific Theatre.

He is survvied by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Lenny Mobbs of Longview, daughter-in-law, Sue Bass, grandchildren, Brandon Mobbs, Kriston Mobbs, Shane Bass, Micki Boo, and Chad Boo, brother and sister-in-law, William(Bill) Bass and wife Barbara of Kilgore, nieces and nephews, Javan Johnson, Mark Bass, Sharon Tuel and Sharla Percell, as well as a very special friend, Willie Hollis.

Graveside services for Wilson Bass, 82, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Earl W. "Buddy" Duggins officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Bass passed away Friday, February 22, 2008, in Longview.

He was born December 27, 1925, in Kilgore, Texas, to Harvey and Mildred Bamberg Bass. He was a self-employed auto parts dealer, and during World War II, he served our country from March 10, 1944, until May 5, 1946, as a radioman third class on the USS Willoughby in the South Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Lenny Mobbs of Longview; daughter-in-law, Sue Bass; grandchildren, Brandon Mobbs, Kriston Mobbs, Shane Bass, Micki Boo and Chad Boo; brother and sister-in-law, William "Bill" Bass and wife, Barbara of Kilgore; nieces and nephews, Javan Johnson, Mark Bass, Sharon Tuel and Sharla Percell; as well as a very special friend, Willie Hollis.
