I do remember my Grandma and Grandpa Hoppe very well. They were both alive until I was in Jr. High (grandpa died) and High School (Grandma died) ( or around then). The were a big part of my life. Went there for most holidays (except for Memorial Day was ALWAYS the Linn side) and they came to see us quite often too. I went to stay a week every summer with them in Correctionville and loved it. My Grandma was a wonderful seamstress and she helped sew a couple of dresses for Homecoming and proms. My Grandpa was quite a teaser.....always teasing and playing with us kids. They always went to Phoenix, Az every winter because my Grandpa had bad emphysema.[2]
