Active Years c. 1848[1] - present

The Walker Family Cemetery is a very small prairie cemetery near Iowa City, Iowa. Libbie Linn's grandparents (James Walker and Mary Sarah Burnett) are other relatives are buried here.

The book, "History of Johnson County, Iowa" states[2] that "there are two burying-grounds in the township-- one [...] and one on Joseph Walker's farm. Both were used in the pioneer days, and are still used." Presumably this burying-grounds on Joseph's farm is what we know as the Walker Family Cemetery.

The cemetery is now cared for by by Jim Linn. The Burges' (see J. M. Burges) set up a trust fund at the Hills Bank and Trust Co., which provides mowing and basic maintenance, but Jim Linn helps with debris removal, stone maintenance, etc.[3].
