Parents Chester Henry
Cressie Elizabeth, or Cerisie L. Robinson[5]
  • Born Nora Ethel Henry[6]
  • peggy's mother's full name is Nora Ethel Henry (Nora Ethel went by "Ethel")[7]
  • There may be a different spelling of her name[8]
  • She was born in Monterey, TN.[9]
  • Ethel and William are buried in Oklahoma City, OK[10]
    • Conflict: The Parkview Cemetery in Phelps County, NE claims that Nora Ethel is buried next to Wilson Burnette Bass, Jr. in the Parkview Cemetery.
  • Ethel had a sister named Dorothy who lived in Reno Nevada[11]

Mother: Cressie Elizabeth, or Cerisie L. Robinson, or?

  • Peggy: mom's mom was always called Cressie Elizabeth but my research has the spelling Cerisie L. Robinson. I am not sure the spelling is right for the last name[12]

Father: Chester (A?) Henry

  • Ethel's father was Chester Henry [13]
  • Nora comes from Indian stock (probably her grandfather)[14]
  • Chester died when Peggy was a baby. He is buried in Monterey, TN.[15]
  • Chester's middle initial may be "A".[16]
  • The book "Trail of Tears" tells how some of the Cherokee were driven out of Tenn. From what I have found there are 7 clans of Cherokee and I am not sure yet which clan would refer to our relatives.[17]
  • The Cherokee family would have moved from Arkansas to Oklahoma, courtesy the US government[18]
