Notes from Jim Opfell:
- In June 1894 the Des Moines Leader reported John Samuel's foot being cut off. It was also reported in the Iowa City Republican.
- AF has b.abt 1854 In 1856 John S. was age 7 b.IOWA. A Farmer, John S. was 29 b.IA OH IN in 1880 living in Fremont Twp. His mother and sister lived nearby. p.271
- There are three Walker children born after the group in the L.T.,IA Book. Jim has them as Elma, Elmer and ? Child Walker.
- Jim also has Anna Walker b 1869 died 1895 on this listing of children. But he says "We do not know who Anna's parents are, she is listed next to Wallace W. Walker in record. She is not listed with the family in 1880." So I haven't listed her here.
