George and Aline lived on Charlie's farm, which was adjacent to Gustaf Lindstrom's original homestead. See Locating Gustaf Lindstrom's Homestead for a comparison of locations.
According to Dean Randall Lindstrom, "My mother, Aline, said that she met my dad, George, at a Saturday night dance in Overton in 1933. They were married at Westmark Church parsonage on Feb. 14, 1934."
Farming
The Lindstrom Farm was a typical Nebraska grain and livestock operation, with a mix of irrigated and dryland crops. All family members pitched in . . and neighbor helped neighbor.

Historical Records
- George D (age 3), parents Charlie (age 42) and Minnie (age 39) and siblings Lula W (age 14), Harry F (age 13), and Sidney A (age 11) live in Center, Phelps, Nebraska in the 1910 Federal Census. Charlie's census listing is consecutive with his mother's, which indicates they are neighbors.[5]
- George D (age 13), parents Charlie (age 52) and Augusta (age 49) and siblings Harry F (age 21) and Sidney A (age 19) and Margaret T (age 9) live in Center, Phelps, Nebraska in the 1920 Federal Census
- George (age 23), his mother Minnie (age 59), and sister Margarite (age 19) lived in Center Township, Phelps County, Nebraska in the 1930 Federal Census
