dated 23 January 1813, Proved 7 July 1815>
In the name of God, Amen, I Elizabeth Ensor of Baltimore County being in an aged and infirm state of body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wits. After my just debts and funeral expenses are paid and fully satisfied,
I will and bequeath unto my son, Darby Ensor, all my part of a tract of land called the regulated Vineyard to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son, Nathan Ensor, all my part of a tract of land, Jameses Prospect, to him and his heirs forever also my negro man Tom and negro woman Kate.
Item my will and desire is that all my estate both real and personal shall be sold by my hereafter named executor excepting the two before named negroes and that the remaining part of negroes to be sold until they severally arrive at the age of thirty five years and they are to be free from all persons whatsoever at that age.
Item my will and desire is that the money arising from the sale of my said property shall be disposed of in the following manner to wit. One third part thereof to my daughter, Elizabeth Chilcoate, one third part thereof to be equally divided between John Chilcoate, Elizabeth Willey, and Margaret Gorsuch who are children of my deceased daughter, Prudence, and the other third thereof to be equally divided between all the children of the late Humphrey Chilcoate and my daughter Sarah Chilcoate and my grandson John Griffin.
Lastly, I hereby constitute nominate and appoint my son, Darby Ensor, executor of this my last will and testament who I wish and desire should have the care and charge of all the money that may be due to the minors herein named and that he may receive it and to be paid by him when the severally arrive at age or on the day of marriage. In witness whereof the said testator hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal this 23rd day of January in the Eighteen hundred and thirteen.
