Adam grew up with his mother in Boston. In fourth grade, Adam lost his sight due to complications with Von Hippel-Lindau disease. Adam became proficient in Braille, and attended Boston Latin School, the most competitive high school in the Boston school system. Following the Linn tradition, he even joined the wrestling team. Adam graduated from Harvard University in 1995 with a degree in Economics.[2][3]

Thereafter, Adam moved to California, became an actor, and appeared in various plays and television programs.

In 2001, he moved to New York to study screenwriting and film at New York University. In 2004, Adam co-founded Good Look Productions with his friend Jim Phinney. Today, Adam is an inspiring blind filmmaker and producer.[4]
