Update. In writing the below remark, I was unconsciously making the assumption that the relations "cousin" and "niece" applied to either A.J or his wife. That's probably a bad assumption. Being 30-40 years younger, Olga proably died well after both of them, and presumably her inscription was chosen by other relatives. Also, I admit that "cousin" is often (ab)used to mean all kinds of relations, and might not necessarily mean "first cousin".

Wow, great find! How are you interpreting "Niece & Cousin"? "Cousin" seems accounted for if your'e saying that she's AJ's cousin (Swan Johnson being the common grand-parent). But niece? Wouldn't that suggest that one of these statements is true?

Carroll[edit]

I see you added "Carroll" as a child. Are you sure that isn't a dupe of "Henry Carroll Vaughn (1888-1974)" (already listed)?

Olga J. Thuline[edit]

Update. In writing the below remark, I was unconsciously making the assumption that the relations "cousin" and "niece" applied to either A.J or his wife. That's probably a bad assumption. Being 30-40 years younger, Olga proably died well after both of them, and presumably her inscription was chosen by other relatives. • Hannah Thulin (Johnson) and Matilda are siblings
    • We think we know Matilda's siblings names, from the 1870 census, and there's no hannah. Plus, you identified Hannah's parents, and they're not the same as Matilda's. Plus the 1930 Census says "niece" is Olga's relationship to the head of the housold (AJ; because Matilda was no longer living there)
  • Hannah Thulin (Johnson) and A.J. are siblings
    • Possible?
  • Olaf Thulin and Matilda are siblings
    • But we know Matilda's maiden name and it's not Thulin. Plus, we think we know Matilda's siblings names, from the 1870 census. Plus the 1930 Census says "niece" is Olga's relationship to the head of the housold (AJ; because Matilda was no longer living there)
  • Olaf Thulin and A.J. are siblings
    • Different last names.
