- The 1910 Federal Census lists John as a widow, in Elk, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, living with S., Daisy, Sadie, Hattie, and John Walker[15]
- The 1920 Federal Census lists John as a widow, in Crawford, Cherokee, Kansas, with Sherman's family[16]

- A 1889 Atlas of Pleasant Valley shows a number of Walker plots: J Walker, J Walker, J L Walker, H A Walker, Walker. (User:Jim.lindstrom: I haven't yet tried to determine whether any of these plots belongs to John Samual Walker.)
Other notes:
- Son Sherman's wife Mary was "a full blooded Indian."[18]
- Jim (Opfell?) also has Anna Walker b 1869 died 1895 on this listing of children. But he says "We do not know who Anna's parents are, she is listed next to Wallace W. Walker in record. She is not listed with the family in 1880." So I haven't listed her here.[19]
- There are three Walker children born after the group in the L.T.,IA Book. Jim has them as Elma, Elmer and ? Child Walker.[20]
