She was raised and received her education in Goldfield, graduating from Goldfield High School in 1932. On June 1, 1932 she was united in marriage to Dr. Hugh Linn in Goldfield. After their marriage, the couple lived in Gilmore City their entire married lives. Edith loved collecting sheet music and playing the piano and clarinet. She played the piano for silent films in Goldfield.
